There are many places in the world where crime, poverty, and filth severely affect people's lives. Stung Mean Chey, the only municipal garbage dump in Phnom Penh, Cambodia is no exception. It presents some of the worst living conditions in the world. It is ironic that the name Stung Mean Chey literally means "River of Victory." For amidst the dump’s squalor, you will find people with resilient hearts—in this regard, it truly is a place of victory. |
